Program Description: The Nevada Chapter Tourette Association of America (Nevada Chapter TAA) is a statewide community-based program dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering individuals and families affected by Tourette syndrome and other tic conditions throughout Nevada.

Our Nevada chapter works to increase public understanding, promote acceptance, reduce stigma, and improve access to appropriate resources, education, healthcare, accommodations, and community support. Through collaboration with families, individuals living with Tourette Syndrome and tic conditions, healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, law enforcement, disability organizations, community partners, and public agencies, the Nevada Chapter TAA seeks to build a more informed and inclusive Nevada.

Support & Connection — Support for individuals and families, peer connections, and resource navigation.
Education & Awareness — Community presentations, educational materials, and Tourette awareness programs.
School Support — Education, accommodations, advocacy, and support for students and families.
Healthcare Education — Provider education, professional networking, and healthcare referrals.
First Responder Training — Training for law enforcement, EMTs, firefighters, and security personnel, including the Blue Envelope Program.
Advocacy — Statewide advocacy for healthcare, education, disability rights, accessibility, and public policy.
Professional Training — Customized education and presentations for schools, organizations, agencies, and professionals.
Resources & Referrals — Connecting Nevada families with healthcare, educational, disability, and community resources.
Community Partnerships — Collaboration with universities, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and other community partners.
Leadership & Empowerment — Opportunities for individuals with lived experience to participate in advocacy, awareness, and leadership.
