The Nevada Community Health Coalition (formerly the Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition) is a partnership of academic, civic, private and community organizations that aim to address the social drivers of health and improve health outcomes in Nevada by building capacity, informing policy, and conducting research.

The Nevada Community Health Coalition (NCHC) was established in 2016 as a response to requests from community members and elected officials for a grassroots, locally driven organization that could interface between the community and state and local funders. NCHC is committed to improving health outcomes in Nevada and working to ‘move the needle’ on poor health statistics that disproportionately affect underserved communities across the state.

NCHC is currently housed within the UNLV School of Public Health.

The mission of NCHC is to improve health outcomes among diverse communities by building capacity through research, education, and advocacy.

“We aspire for every Nevadan to have the opportunity to achieve optimal health and to foster collaborative systems that empower individuals to reach their utmost health potential.”

The three aims of the NCHC are capacity builiding, policy and advocacy, and research, data and dissemination.
